DRACAS Analyst

Thales UK is seeking a proven DRACAS Analyst to operate as site lead in support of Leicester-based programmes and bids. Working with various senior stakeholders this post will hold responsibility for the implementation of the FRACAS/DRACAS process on all projects/programmes at Crawley including the generation of information, co-ordinating customer reviews and undertaking the required analyses.

The DRACAS Analyst will report on a day-to-day basis to the appropriate Programme or Engineering Manager and will report functionally to the DRACAS Section Leader. Main duties will include the following:

  • Collate failure data from all appropriate sources for the serviced Projects
  • Mine DRACAS data from historical sources to assist bids.
  • Ensure data is entered accurately and coherently on to the DRACAS tool.
  • Identify trends and Cost/Performance characteristics in the incidents
  • Generate Project DRACAS reports summarising the results and recommending action plans
  • Support recommended action plans with appropriate business case
  • Liaise with Project engineering teams and Subcontract Managers to understand and agree DRACAS concerns.
  • Generate and maintain Project DRACAS Plans.
  • Attend DRACAS Review meetings.
  • Provide support as required to define action/mitigation plans.
  • Manage Work Packages to meet schedule, budget and quality.
  • Generate estimates for DRACAS work.
  • Comply with all relevant Company Management System Processes.
  • Comply with the Project management plans and codes of practice.

You will ideally have experience in Defence Engineering and in DRACAS or RMT. You will also have strong data analysis skills with the ability to write concise reports and management plans. An understanding of Avionics type systems would be preferable.

This job requires good interpersonal, written and communication skills. You will have the gravitas to achieve buy-in and influence decision making. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have robust industrial experience.
