Job Description

Ground worker- Water Distribution Location: Leicester (Full UK Driving licence as travel is required in this role) Salary Range: £20,000 to £24,461 plus £6,753 shift allowance Closing Date: 14th March 2010 The Team: Working within the Service Delivery Distribution Team this role provides an effective installation, repair and maintenance service on the Company\'s infrastructure assets. The role will respond to and resolve issues raised by customers and work alongside our Contract Partners to deliver effective installation, repair and maintenance. Whilst working in the field you will be customer facing and constantly working to high safety standards. This role will involve manual labour, working outdoors in all weathers and you will work on an annualised hours shift pattern after an initial period. About you: We are looking for individuals with a positive and flexible working attitude who possess excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to investigate and resolve problems is a must for this role along with the ability to work well as part of a team. Experience in a similar role within the utilities industry is vital along with customer service experience. Additional training such as NRSWA, Underground Cable Detection, Mains and Service Laying and Mini Digger qualifications would be of an advantage.
