Job Description
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen at an expanding recycling and waste management company
in Leicester. Our brand new and impressive facility requires a sharp and bright Shift Leader to manage and control a shift of around 40 people.
Role
-
Controlling
input quality and ensuring high quality of finished products
-
Ensuring
that site health and safety rules are followed
-
Directing
and monitoring personal performance of agency and company staff on a daily
basis
-
Reporting
team performance and KPIs to higher level management
-
Liaising
with maintenance department
-
Ensuring
that the production targets are met
-
Ensuring
site is managed effectively in directors/managers absence
Experience
-
At least 2
years of previous managerial/supervisory experience
-
Excellent
knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes and sound general IT skills
-
Ability to
lead and motivate staff
-
Good
leadership and managerial skills
-
Good
understanding of heavy machinery, conveyors and motors
-
Good
attention to detail and focus on quality
-
Organised
and driven
-
Ability to
prioritise workload effectively
-
Integrity
and initiative
-
Previous
recycling, MRF or paper industry experience will be beneficial
-
Previous
experience in operating mobile plants also beneficial
