A highly motivated, inspirational people-manager, immensely talented as a professional leader with a demonstrable track record as a target driven achiever, may find this opportunity of interest. Heading a team of 8 Sales Engineers, you will direct and develop your team as they focus on driving the sale of capital equipment primarily into food and pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
Reporting to a divisional director, your primary objective will be to develop on-going business plans through your people as well as being personally involved in key account sales activities. This is a truly hands on management role as you accompany your team in the field and steer activities to reflect business trends, competitor activities and individual performance. Assisting in product launches, marketing strategy and exhibition planning is all part of the remit as is preparing management reports and setting budgets.
As part of a team of sales managers across the UK group, an additional interesting dimension is the cross functional work you will be doing with other divisions and the involvement you will have in forging working relationships with a range of marketing and sales business units. This 2nd in command to the divisional director will need to be a sales manager of substance!!!
