SALARY: £24,000 TO £27,000 Depending on experience.
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, working flexibly, to meet the requirements of the business. Normal working days Monday to Friday or others by agreement
PRIME FUNCTION: To actively contribute to the manufacture of Product Recovery Equipment and Services of the company.
SUMMARY
The ideal candidate must have an engineering background to provide support for our expanding business in Product Recovery Systems. Typical roles and functions include:-
*Obtain pricing for fabricated and off the shelf components
*Purchase ordering
*Parts chasing
*Creation of manufacturing drawings
*Building equipment
*Maintaining project costings
*Testing and Quality Control
*Packing and Shipping
*Commissioning
Mandatory SKILLS REQUIRED
Mechanical or Process Engineering background
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
2000 applications: Word, Excel, Access and Visio
CAD/ AutoCAD preferably SolidWorks 2004

MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Carry out all duties in line with the policies, practices and procedures of

3. Work at all times in accordance with prevailing Health & Safety and Fire regulations.
4. Provide a pro-active and extensive resource for the products and services of the Company, including:-
*Main point of contact with prospective clients.
*Interfacing with existing clients as required.
5. At all times promote and market the Company's products and services in an imaginative, professional, tactful, ethical, legal and enthusiastic manner.
6. Communication with potential customers, either written, by telephone or in person, to be conducted in a customer focused context.
7. Provide appropriate and timely management information as and when required by the Company (Project Management Meetings weekly/bi-weekly and Company Planning Meetings monthly).
8. Undertake appropriate continuous training and development relevant to the duties and accountabilities of the function of the job.
Work with sales to agree:
a) Equipment Pricing
b) Delivery targets and milestones
Production & Quality Control:
a) Put into place and develop quality control procedures
b) Documentation used to order fabrication and components of PRS
c) Pre-delivery checks and testing
d) Shipping and delivery checks etc
e) Handover and commissioning
f) Trouble shooting and on-going support
Designs for manufacture:
Manage and coordinate the work used to:
a) Test and evaluate performance of prototype
b) Revise design steps according to results
c) Finalise design and purchase limited production runs against orders
On-Site Trials and Commissioning
Provide support for:
a) Site Trials at prospective customer sites throughout the UK
b) Install and commission PRS equipment throughout the UK
