Job responsibilities
The Technical Training Engineer will be responsible for further developing the company's Training Academy programmes and training processes. The academy exists in order to develop the plant operation and maintenance skills of the dealers who sell the plant, and the service engineers who maintain it in the field.
You would be using your in-depth knowledge of how to maximise the performance and life of the plant to ensure that the company's machines are used and maintained to maximum effect. Considering the effect these points have on customer satisfaction, hence repeat plant sales, you will obviously be fulfilling a very important role.
You will be both writing and delivering the training sessions, which could be in-house at the company's facilities at the company offices or at any of the dealerships around the world. The key difference with this, and the travel that you may have experienced working as a service engineer, is that these training courses are scheduled, thereby offering the interest and variety of travel, without the disruption of the unexpected call-out that may impact on social or family plans.
As the Technical Training Engineer you will report to the Dealer Support Manager, and have administration support. Beyond the programmes themselves, you will be responsible for developing systems such as a customer skills evaluation process, so to ensure that the right people attend training courses that are in line with the current abilities and training needs.
Person Profile:
You will need to have a full understanding of crushers and screeners, from an operation, application, and maintenance perspective.
Beyond these pre-requisite skills, you will need to have the ability to communicate confidently and clearly with diverse groups of people, with differing interests and, indeed, attention spans. Providing that you possess the core skills and attributes, the company will invest in the honing of your communication skills to help you become an effective trainer.
As part of our selection process, you will be required to develop and deliver a short presentation that demonstrates your knowledge of the plant, and your ability to communicate this effectively.
In terms of your aspirations, this role could be regarded as one that you develop and 'own' as the global specialist in this area, or one that you see as part of your ongoing career plans that can be supported by the Company Group.
