Quality & Environmental Engineer:
Salary Negotiable/ Competitive;
To join our client's existing Quality team. Working as part of this diverse, multi-discipline department you will be involved with various projects at different stages.
Ideally you need to be familiar with ISO 9000 & ISO 1400 with experience of engineering drawings and specifications. Have a minimum qualification of ONC or BTEC in Mechanical or Production Engineering. To review received certification and record status on CDL database.
Main duties for the Quality & Environmental Engineer;-
* Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of ISO 9000 and ISO 1401 management systems.
* Carrying out internal audits and supplier appraisals.
* Reviewing and compiling certification dossiers.
* Maintenance of the Environmental Registers and associated documents.
To carry out internal audits on company quality & environmental system.
To carry out supplier assessments and maintain approved supplier's list.
To carry out site audits
To liaise with customers and suppliers QA/Inspection personnel as required
To assist in the compilation of quality documentation dossiers.
To maintain quality records / documents in an organised manner.
To maintain the company environmental register and associated documentation.
To investigate possible reductions in company energy consumption.
To assist in maintenance of Company calibration system
As the Quality & Environmental Engineer you will work closely & support all other departments in the company to ensure that customers & company programmes, & deadlines are achieved.
Any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Liaising first-hand with all Customer and Supplier enquiries, you must have the necessary customer service skills as well as the ability to develop close business relationships. Effective verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a Full UK Driving Licence are also essential for this post.
Working hours of Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 5.30pm.
